Punchneedle Embroidery

My first attempt at this type of needlework.  Curiously, I found it very challenging.  Probably because it does not require ‘exactness’ in the same way crocheting and counted crosstitch do.  Or perhaps because I just am not good at it!

The pattern is the sunflowers and fence.  I added the “Welcome” because I think I am going to give it to a friend who has just moved into a new house.

Enjoy!

Annie, the design is all punch needle. The only french knots are in the word “Welcome” on the W, E, and C.

Are those French Knots? or some kind of punch needle?
