Ksenia Pokrovsky

Today I discovered the iconographer, Ksenia Pokrovsky, reposed in the Lord Sunday, July 7, 2013.  Her icon workshop webpage announced the news.  I did not have the privilege of studying under her tutelage; however, I did meet her 10 years at a retreat on Orthodox Spirituality.  She seemed intense but very nice.  The kind of person you wanted to sit down to a cup of tea and listen to what she had to say.

She wrote the icon “The Synaxis of All Saints Who Have Shone Forth In North America” which is owned by the OCA.  View it here.

It will surprise no one to know she reposed on the Synaxis of the Saints of North America.

May our Lord give peace to all of her students who have studied under her tutelage, as well as her family and friends.

May her memory be eternal!
